The Mystery of Pine Lake: Player Home

From Wahnfried Online

The mod features a player home near Whiterun with everything you need for a good start. The estate contains things like blacksmith forge, workbench, smelter, grain mill, garden with fertile soils for planting, an oven as well as training dummies with which you can improve your skills and much more.

Player Home

The house is located west from Whiterun and can be obtained for 2,500 gold from Aventus Avenicci, the Jarl's steward in Whiterun. Just read the note at the door to start the short quest.

Exterior

There are two entrances to the house, the main door is next to the street, while the rear door leads to the garden. To the left of the property are a blacksmith forge, a workbench, a sharpening wheel, a smithing chest, and a tanning rack. Outside the fenced area is a table with benches and a smelter. There is a grain mill at the rear next to the garden. The garden contains 13 fertile soils for your plants. There are training dummies with which you can train your combat skills.

Interior

Entering through the front door, leads into the main room, with a large fire pit in the center and a cooking spit directly in front of you. Immediately to the left is the kitchen area with a bar. As you enter the house, you will be greeted by Cooks-Many-Soups. With him, various changes can be made in the house, such as different carpets in front of the bar or a different tablecloth in the dining area. In addition, you can turn on and off some lights to create different moods. The counter area features an oven, a well-stocked cupboard with food and drinks, and three barrels for tapping beer, skooma, and wine. There is a bell on the counter that you can use to summon your very own Dremora butler. There is a large aquarium opposite the bar.

Library

To the left of the fire pit is a door leading to the library. Another door in the library leads to a room with a table and a trap door to the basement. There is a small Frost Troll patrolling on the table and a light switch. If you turn off the light, the troll will vanish.

Dining Area

In the rear area is the dining area with a large table, chairs and two aquariums on the left and right as well as two mannequins. The tablecloth can be changed in color. Just ask Cooks-Many-Soups to do so.

Alchemy Laboratory

To the right of the fire pit is a door that leads to an alchemy lab and an arcane enchanter. Special boxes and filled cabinets are located here.

Bedrooms

To the right of the main room, a ladder leads to the upper area with three other rooms. On the right is the children's bedroom with six beds and a trapdoor in the ceiling leading to a small viewing platform outside. Straight ahead is a small lounge for adopted children with two small aquariums and training dummies. The master bedroom is in the upper left area.

Basement

The basement can be reached through a trap door in the room in the library and is divided into three rooms: a bathroom, a trophy room and a greenhouse. There is a pull chain in the bathroom that allows you to "heat" the bathwater and a mannequin. The greenhouse contains 32 fertile soils for planting and a trap door ladder leads to the attic. Collectibles such as dragon claws, dragon priest masks, etc. can be displayed in the trophy room.

There are two hidden panels in the basement. One of them leads to another area of the basement where the main quest starts and the other one leads to a small cave with a treasure chest and a dragon stone. You can tap powerful potions from the barrels in the secret area of the basement. The magic mirror in the bathroom leads to a mysterious ruin and a quest.

Notes

The house is fully Hearthfire compatible, which means your whole family can move in, but you need to install the mod Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions for this to work, which is optional. After installing it, cast the new spell "Bless Home" in the house. If you don't want your family to move in, you don't need to install that optional mod. Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions can be downloaded from Nexusmods.
